🍌SUPPLY UPDATE
National Banana transport figures for week 20 increased by approx 53K on the week prior to approximately 470,669 cartons being sent from North Queensland. Temperatures in the far north have seen early A.M. temperatures fall within a range of 14.7 - 21.3C across all major growing regions; and day time temperatures still ranging 24.7 - 30.5C. Rainfall in North Qld banana growing regions this week was as follows: Mareeba receiving 0mm for the week; and Innisfail also receiving a total of a 0mm, finally a reprieve!!
Banana Quality was similar to last week, still an appearance of minor skin marking; light rub and some dull fruit but on the whole a good show.
Retail ticket pricing in Queensland for cavendish bananas were as follows: Aldi’s banana ticket price at $4.49/kg; Woolies offered fruit at a ticket price of $4.50/kg; and Coles were offering fruit at $4.50/kg in the stores visited.

🥑SUPPLY UPDATE
In a nutshell the national production figures for last week were as follows:
· Week 20, 2025 - The industry experienced an overall 2.33% decrease in production on the previous week’s harvest with this weeks total of 480,576 tray equivalents harvested and transported (approx 12,000 less tray equivalents) on Week 19, 2025 production.
Production across the country saw NQ still confidently leading in production - accounting for 59.53% of the total volume, followed by Central Queensland accounting for 39.08%, then Southern Queensland for just 0.95%, then Sunshine Coast for just 0.44% of the total production for the week.
· It is forecast that a total of some 493,000 tray equivalents will be dispatched this week (Week 21) nationally, with the majority of these being Hass!! Production for the next three week period thereafter, is expected to fall within the range of 480K-484K tray equivalents per week.
In terms of Avocado retailing in the major supermarkets in Qld this week we saw some great offers for customers with pricing as follows - Aldi’s Hass at $1.99each; Coles Qld stores visited had Hass avos priced at 2 for $3.60, and Woolworths Qld with GMAX at $2.90ea and Hass at $2.00ea.
